Photo Portfolio 14: Long Forgotten

Photo Portfolio 13: Heart Stops Beating

This image tries to portray suicide. I really liked the setup i used with my first image and i tried to repeat it and have the same feeling with this one. i tried to set it up as if my toy had hung himself but it was a challenge trying to make the picture feel natural. however i like how the lighting and setup ended up looking, i even got a client for a local company because they also really loved the grungy feel i was trying to pass on.

Photo Portfolio 12:Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

This photograph confirmed the rest of my photo project. I will only exclusively be shooting toys as my still life models. I decided to only shoot toys because some of my other pictures use a differnt style of still life such as garbage or landscapes etc. I believe that this will make my theme stronger and it will make more sense to people who view my pictures. This picture portrays vanity, i tried portraying it with a toy looking at herself while it states "you are beautiful" on the wall. for this picture i used a hard light overlay layer to add a black and red tint to my photo, this helped give my picture and older worn and torn look. im overall happy with my picture and love how it turned out.

Photo Portfolio 11:The Empty Bottle

I found this bottle in a dead looking bush behind our campus. I decided to take a picture of it because it exemplified the darkness of alcohol abuse because it contrasted with the shade created from the sun. The sun is blocked by the buildings hiding the object from all light (or happiness) causing it to rust and mold. I also thought this bottle could represent a feeling of abandonment even though it was just a pice of trash. I felt this because when i found it it looked lost and forgotten. I used the same theme and filter that i have been using with all my photos.

Photo Portfolio 10: Bash on Trash

This is a picture after breakfast at SDSCPA.  There was trash on multiple tables and i thought this could portray my theme in a way by showing how people litter even when theres a trash  can less than 10 feet away. I gave my photo a new type of distorted look by working with a new filter on photoshop which i think fits my grunge theme perfectly. I shot this picture at an angle so it could be more appealing to the viewers eye which is something im starting to grow fond of when i shoot. i think i will be using this type of filter and tilted angle when i shoot as to experiment with future photos.
